Hello everyone! Happy New Year!

How was everyone’s 2022? This year was quite a year for Happiness Initiative. We are very grateful for the opportunities that were offered to us back in 2022, and at the same time, we wished we could have done more for communities in Africa. We are hoping 2023 will be a year for substantiating bigger goals and investing more.

Here is a picture of a young girl from Unwapu in Ukpah, Bekwarra LGA of Cross River State. Her community is collecting drinking water in this manner in this 21st Century. Happiness Initiative will work hard to donate boreholes and provide clean drinking water to communities in Africa. We wanted to give an update on our community development initiative. Today, our Happiness Initiative staff visited a local school from one of our partnered communities to donate school uniforms to children. Hello! How is everyone?

Happiness Initiative was given the opportunity to visit Zambia! We visited Zambia between 14th September ~ 27th September, 2022. Zambia is the start of our Happiness Initiative Wellspring Project, and it was quite memorable to set foot in Zambia once again.

We are expanding our Wellspring Project, but our heart always goes back to Zambia.

First, we visited the drilling site to witness a borehole being made. It was refreshing to see clean drinking water rushing out from the ground. There is great hope to seeing access to clean water. Thank you to our sponsors for donating this borehole to the community. There were a lot of cheerings from the community residents, and it was a delightful experience.

Second, we had the chance to meet with the secretariat of our partnered organization, Families Are Nations (FAN). We’ve been partnered since the beginning of Happiness Initiative, and it was nice to meet again in person. We discussed our goals and vision for how we can best serve the communities in Africa. Thank you for a wonderful time!

While in Zambia, we participated in the commemoration ceremony of the new borehole built in the community. We saw the first stream of fresh, clean drinking water coming out. There was a lot of singing and dancing to express this joyous moment. Thank you to everyone who supported this project. This access to clean water will open boundless opportunities for the community residents and promote healthier lives to the residents.

Today, we helped clean one of the community’s road. Their road is called Sun Moon Road. Thirty young people from another community came to help. It was very heartwarming to see the limitless possibilities created from caring for one another. We stand with our Happiness Initiative core values!
